Ukraine Humanitarian Service Project: Spring 2022
Under the leadership of Dr. Ent, the chair of the Education Department, the Education Department, as well as our SVC and surrounding communities, came together to collect, pack, load, and deliver donations for Ukrainian refugees. In just a little over two weeks, the Education Department collected more than 3 large U-Haul trucks worth of humanitarian aid, including clothing, toiletries, medicine, toys, school supplies, and more that were delivered to a warehouse in Mechanicsburg, PA to ship overseas. This service project helped our students and community put into action many of the Benedictine principles we live by at Saint Vincent College, and it brought together our community in living our mission of "forward always forward."
