Graduate PK-12 Special Education Post-Baccalaureate Certification
In order to permit returning certified teachers to earn an additional certificate in PK-12 special education, students can enroll in a graduate program of choice and take the necessary graduate and post-baccalaureate courses.  In some cases, a transcript audit will be necessary to make sure the student will qualify for the additional certification.   Students should work closely with their advisor to ensure that they are meeting all requirements.  Having this certification with a graduate degree will advance students in careers related to special education teaching and learning.

PK-12 Online Instruction Endorsement (add-on certification)
Candidates with an initial certification can add on an endorsement in online instruction to add a credential to work in online academies, classrooms, and in settings in which students are attending remotely.  Candidates will learn the latest technology-enriched strategies and techniques to effectively design and deliver online coursework and exercises.  In four graduate courses, currently certified teachers can be prepared for today’s online learning and technology-enhanced instruction.

PK-12 Reading Specialist (add-on certification)
Candidates with an initial certification can add on a PK-12 reading specialist.  Having this additional certification will allow candidates to work in settings were reading recovery, intervention, and support are needed.  Once certified as a reading specialist, career and many classroom teaching opportunities will become accessible.  Having the expertise in reading intervention and diagnosis will enable candidates to broaden into fields beyond a classroom teacher.

PK-12 Integrated STEM education endorsement (add on certification)
Candidates with an initial certification can add on an endorsement in integrated stem education to add a credential to leverage STEM education in classroom and in settings in which students are engaged in creative science and engineering curricula.  Candidates will learn the latest makerspace and technology-enriched strategies to effectively design and deliver STEM education across all disciplines.  In four graduate courses, currently certified teachers can be prepared for today’s STEM learning and technology-enhanced instruction.

Early Childhood Leadership (Director Credential)
Early childhood educators with holding a bachelor degree desiring to direct and operate a center or classroom for early learners can earn the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) and PA Keys Director Credential.  In three classes, a bachelor-degreed teacher can be quickly qualified to operate and direct their own center with the advanced coursework that will boost them in a career as a director.
