they elevate the mind and give energy to the character."

The Saint Vincent Education Department Service Award opportunity is designed to support a preservice teacher on the path to becoming an empathetic, service minded educator who will be equipped not only to educate minds but to nurture and support their community.
This award will be an outward sign of the acquisition of knowledge and commitment made to excel not only in the college classroom but in the community as a support and leader for those in need. Only the serious and dedicated will rise to this level and be invited into the ranks of those that know the meaning of being a true member of a service profession. This will be an achievement that will serve you well throughout your career and beyond. Teachers never retire, they just continue to find new causes.
