Clearance Requirements
All Education majors and minors are required to have up to date clearances in order to work with children and gain experience hours in schools. Not having clearances can affect your ability to register for and participate in Education classes.
CLEARANCES NEEDED:
Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check

TB Testing (good for two years)
FBI Fingerprinting
Register with IdentoGo to get fingerprinted for Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) background clearance. Once registered, you can make an appointment with Public Safety to have your fingerprints taken.

OTHER CLEARANCES:
As you prepare to submit materials for a prospective job, you may be required to also submit the Act 168 clearance. Act 168 of 2014 requires potential and current employees to complete the Act 168 Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release.
(Required when applying for a paid position within a school setting.)
