Important Forms
CLEARANCES: All Education majors and minors must have up to date clearances on file in the Education office. Failure to have current clearances will result in the student being withdrawn from the education classes by the last day of the withdrawal period.
TESTING INFORMATION: Testing requirements are constantly changing; please be sure to check the ETS website AND the Pennsylvania Department of Education for the testing requirements for your certification area. It is your responsibility to register for the correct exams.
OBSERVATION FORMS: Cooperating Teachers and Supervisors should complete observation forms for students in Pre-Student and Student Teaching. One copy of each observation should be submitted to the Education Office to be placed in the student's file and another copy of the observation should remain with the student.
LESSON PLAN & UNIT PLAN TEMPLATES: The Saint Vincent College Education Department has a rigorous Lesson Plan Template which all students must use to submit lessons. Students should continue using the Saint Vincent Lesson Plan Format throughout pre-student and student teaching.
GRADUATE FORMS: Saint Vincent College offers Graduate programs and Master's degrees in Education. Students enrolled in the Graduate Program must remember to submit applications for Graduation and the Comprehensive Exams before the last semester of their program.
ACT 48: Act 48 required persons holding Pennsylvania professional educator certification to complete continuing education requirements every five years in order to maintain their certificates as active. If you have a teaching certificate and have taken Graduate courses at Saint Vincent College please submit the Act 48 form to the Education Department Office. The Saint Vincent Education Office only submits Act 48 for courses taken at Saint Vincent; any other Act 48 hours must be submitted on your own.
