Member Requirements
Undergraduate students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
Graduate level students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
Dues
Undergraduate students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
- have sophomore level status (at least 24 credits earned by the end of the term prior to the time of initiation)
- they have at least 12 credits of Professional Education courses completed, in progress, or programmed;
- have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher;
- exemplify worthy educational ideals;
- express an intention of continuing in the field of education; and
- give evidence of leadership abilities.
Graduate level students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
- completed twelve or more credits of graduate work at St. Vincent College;
- have an overall graduate GPA of 3.75
- exemplify worthy educational ideals;
- express an intention of continuing in the field of education; and
- give evidence of leadership abilities.
Dues
- Local annual dues are $10 and will be collected each fall.
- The one time local initiation fee is $17 and that covers honor cords and induction materials.
- During initiation, you will also be required to pay National KDP dues.
Earning Honor Cords
Members will be eligible to earn Honor Cords if they show evidence of the ideals set forth in Section 1.16. 2.6.1 Members must demonstrate a commitment to Kappa Delta Pi, Psi Iota Chapter through attendance at meetings and events. 2.6.2 Members must commit to be involved, through attendance and/or volunteering, at other education events and with other education clubs. |
