Meet our 2024-2025 officers

Addison Rimmel, President
Addison Rimmel is a Junior at Saint Vincent College majoring in Middle Level Education with a specification in Mathematics. She is part of Vinnie’s Alternative Leadership Team, Alpha Lambda Delta, as well as many clubs and organizations on campus, and has been an Orientation Director. This is Addison’s first year as a Kappa Delta Pi Officer, and she is very excited to get to know everyone and have an amazing year. |
Kennedy Sheriff, Vice President
Kennedy Sheriff is a junior English major with minors in Secondary Education (7-12) and Spanish. Aside from KDP, she is also involved in Education Club, Alpha Lambda Delta, Multicultural Club, and more. She is also the Academic Affairs Chair and a Senator in the Student Government Association, a Prefect in St. Benedict Hall, an Admission Ambassador, and a Writing Associate in the Writing Center. Kennedy is very excited to make connections and serve our school in her first year as a KDP officer! |
Grace Steen, Secretary
Grace Steen is a junior at Saint Vincent College, majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Disability Studies. She is actively involved in the STEM Education Club, the Education Club, and the Early Childhood Education Club. She is excited to serve as a Kappa Delta Pi secretary for the first time. Grace looks forward to becoming more involved with KDP and cannot wait to see everyone at the events being held! |
Alexandra Pilyih,
Social Media Coordinator Alexandra Pilyih is a sophomore at Saint Vincent College, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She is on the board for STEM Education Club and takes part in multiple other clubs and activities on campus including Alpha Lambda Delta. She is a member of the Women's Varsity Bowling Team. Being a Kappa Delta Pi Officer for the first time, Alexandra cannot wait to meet everyone and keeping everyone involved throughout this exciting year. |
Nicholas Matro, Treasurer
Hi, my name is Nicholas Matro and I’m the treasurer of the Saint Vincent Chapter of KDP! I am a Junior majoring in History with Education and I’m planning to graduate and to possibly obtain my master’s degree afterwards! I am currently the treasurer in this club and a member of historical honors society! |
Member Requirements
Undergraduate students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
Graduate level students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
Dues
Undergraduate students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
- have sophomore level status (at least 24 credits earned by the end of the term prior to the time of initiation)
- they have at least 12 credits of Professional Education courses completed, in progress, or programmed;
- have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher;
- exemplify worthy educational ideals;
- express an intention of continuing in the field of education; and
- give evidence of leadership abilities.
Graduate level students are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi when:
- completed twelve or more credits of graduate work at St. Vincent College;
- have an overall graduate GPA of 3.75
- exemplify worthy educational ideals;
- express an intention of continuing in the field of education; and
- give evidence of leadership abilities.
Dues
- Local annual dues are $10 and will be collected each fall.
- The one time local initiation fee is $17 and that covers honor cords and induction materials.
- During initiation, you will also be required to pay National KDP dues.

Earning Honor Cords
Members will be eligible to earn Honor Cords if they show evidence of the ideals set forth in Section 1.16. 2.6.1 Members must demonstrate a commitment to Kappa Delta Pi, Psi Iota Chapter through attendance at meetings and events. 2.6.2 Members must commit to be involved, through attendance and/or volunteering, at other education events and with other education clubs. |
